Woolley's & the Charlie Awards

For the third year running, Woolley's is participating in the Charlie Awards, "an annual event that celebrates the exceptional contributions of the Twin Cities area restaurant, food and beverage industry." The way it works is that the Charlie Awards set categories and allow individual food service businesses to nominate themselves for award(s) in the categories for which they fit.

Then, once the voting period ends and the winners are announced, the Charlie Awards culminate in an annual award show. "The centerpiece for the third annual Charlie Awards will be on Sunday, November 17th at the Pantages Theatre in downtown Minneapolis. After the entertainment-packed show, we will continue the celebration at the IDS Center Crystal Court. Immediately following the after-party, a four-course VIP dinner hosted by last year’s honorees will be held at the Walker Art Center." More information and tickets for the event are available on their website.

For Woolley's, we were in the Twin Cities South Metro category with some other great local competition. Our famous Short Rib Ravioli was up for voting this year -- Woolley's Housemade Ravioli stuffed with Braised Short Rib, Goat Cheese, and Sage finished with a Brown Butter Sauce and topped with our Petite Mirepoix.

Short Rib Ravioli

So keep your fingers crossed as we wait for all of the votes to be tabulated, and stop in to try the Short Rib Ravioli when you join us for Dinner. It's one of the new pasta features on our Fall Dinner Menu.

No matter the outcome, we're just happy to participate in a event that celebrates all of the great contributions to the independent Twin Cities' dining scene, and we'll raise our forks to that!

3rd Annual "Get Your Jingle On" - Client Appreciation Event

We're just coming down from the high of an AMAZING event that we were privileged to host last week. You may remember our Client Appreciation Event that we were thrilled to share from last year; well, we were at it again!

Last week, Woolley's, along with our sister restaurant Chez Daniel as well as the Embassy Suites Bloomington and Embassy Suites Minneapolis Airport, was privileged to host so many of our wonderful clients and their associates right here on property.

A great way to not only thank all of our current clients for their patronage, but we also got to showcase new trends (and our capabilities) in the meeting, events, and catering arenas. Last year's event was held at Chez Daniel, but this year we got to welcome everyone to our home turf as we took them on a trip "around the world"!

Each and every guest was presented with a passport that allowed them to "travel around the globe", as they visited different meeting spaces, each uniquely themed for the event. We even incorporated our food truck, Craft Mobile Kitchen, into the fun! Guests were rewarded with delicious, expertly prepared cuisine and activities/entertainment that matched the "location" of each area.

We're so thankful that Andrews Photography captured the whole event for us. To review the full gallery, we invite you to CLICK HERE.

Thank you also to all of our wonderful clients who were able to participate, the Craft Catering/Craft Mobile Kitchen crew, our Embassy Weddings team (and the rest of our Catering and Sales managers), as well as all of our super awesome vendor partners.

What a great event! We just can't wait until next year.

We're getting quite excited for Thanksgiving and our bountiful Thanksgiving Day Champagne Brunch. A great reason for Woolley's to put on a feast, we are just so thankful for all of our guests on Thanksgiving and the rest of the year as well.

All week, we've had Thanksgiving on the brain with our Thanksgiving-themed lunch specials. Featured through Friday, we're offering a Thanksgiving Salad: Mixed Greens, Chicken Breast, Bleu Cheese, and Sweet & Spicy Pecans all tossed in our Pumpkin Spice Vinaigrette, as well as an Open-Faced Ham Sandwich: Thick-sliced Pit Ham, Apple Maple Chutney, and Fresh Arugula on Grilled Sourdough with Gorgonzola Mashed Potatoes on the Side.

As our lunch specials warm up our appetites, our excitement for Thursday is building. If you missed it, the menu and additional details may be found in our blog post, Thanksgiving Brunch, from earlier this month. We're so pleased to offer our Thanksgiving guests such a huge brunch menu that includes all of their breakfast, lunch, and Thanksgiving favorites.

We're also excited to announce that the Kenny G. Trio will once again be serenading our Thanksgiving Brunch guests with some lovely live music.

If you can't make it to brunch, Woolley's will also be open for regular dinner service from 4:30 to 10pm on Thanksgiving. In addition to the full dinner menu, we'll be featuring some great Thanksgiving Dinner Specials as well. Perfect for pairing with the Thanksgiving bird, all bottles of Riesling and Pinot Noir wines will be HALF OFF the entire night as an extra way for us to show our diners that we're thankful for them.
